What Is A Private Blog Network?
A PBN or private blog network is generally considered as being a collection of "dummy" or "feeder" blogs or websites whose sole purpose is to increase the search engine rankings of any site that they link out to.
Typically, the domains entered into this type of network are domains that are of a high page rank (PR) and / or high domain authority (DA). When you link to your "money site" from one of these authority websites, a certain amount of this high PR / DA will pass from your feeder blog to your site that you are linking to. When the search engines crawl this link it then counted as a strong a vote of your website's value, and increases your money site's search engine rankings.
Backlinks created on PBNs are often surrounded in niche relevant text, images, and videos. These contextual links are seen by Google and the other top search engines as a huge signal of authority, and are considered to be a natural editorial vote by the owner of that "dummy" blog. Right now these are the most powerful backlinks to get, and will significantly increase your website's rankings, should all other aspects of your site be in good standing. e.g - backlink profile, content, panda, hummingbird, etc.
For a PBN to work as required, each site should be hosted on a different ip address and should leave no footprints. The network should never link to other sites in the network and you should never have the same links on 100% of the network. The importance of avoiding leaving a footprint cannot be understated.

Why use a PBN?
Big corporations like Disney actually use these type of networks to rank all their related properties all the time - albeit on an often far more complex and advanced scale than you might imagine. Other websites like job service sites are also guilty of using them. Adobe provides followed links to their partners, while even Google boosts Youtube's rankings by linking to it from their homepage. In fact if you want to rank highly in almost any competitive niche you need to bend the rules a little.
Of course nobody including Google complains when the big boys do it. But when the small guy does what the big companies do it's often seen as an attempt to manipulate search engine rankings. Personally, we think this is an injustice and don't let it worry us.
In the not so distant past, people seeking to rank their websites highly in Google would simply fire up their favorite link building tool and blast away to happy rankings. That was of course until the introduction of the dreaded penguin update and its spawned sidekick - The Google disavow tool.
When the penguin update was unleashed on the seo world, webmasters around the world went running to the disavow tool giving Google all the data they needed to know about which site's were genuine high quality link sources, and which are sources of spam. Any site whose links were disavowed over x% of the time was clearly a source of spam - and it's not surprising that these are the very same sites that were easily spammed with link building tools such as scrapebox, gsa ser and others.
Google's next move was inevitable - Penalize all websites whose backlink profile consisted of too high a percentage of links from these disavowed sites.
So why use a this type of link building strategy then? Well besides the fact that the sites in the network clearly would not be on the list of disavowed links, there are a couple of other major factors to consider.
- As mentioned earlier, these sites are generally high PR / DA sites that pass a certain percentage of this on to any site that they link to.
- Most sites in a PBN operate a blogroll which allows your posts to roll on and off the actual homepages. Depending on the network you enter, you can have actual PR 2, 3, 4, or even 5 links pointing to your "money" site - sending your rankings through the roof!
- When wordpress is used, your link not only appears on the actual page that it's posted on, but also on the tag and category pages, and even the homepage if the blogroll option is turned on. This results in your site receiving often between 5 - 10 high quality backlinks per post that you create, depending on how many tags and categories you use with your post!

Why Fightback Networks?
Fightback Networks is without doubt the ultimate solution to your link building and private blog network needs. While previous stop gap solutions such as Build My Rank and High PR Society have been snuffed out and deindexed by the Google webspam team, Fightbacknetworks (FBN) is continuing to grow in numbers and popularity for a number of reasons.
Price - Fightback Networks is among the cheapest and highest quality blog network solutions online with entry from as little as $19 a month.
Security - Fightback Networks differs from any other network out there, since instead of being just a single network, it is actually a network of blog networks. And unlike other competitors, there is no “central access point" which has been the downfall of many a network in the past. We can't stress this point enough - since in order to successfully infiltrate this PBN solution, one would have to enter a blog into each and every network - and even then there are countless measures in place to prevent this from happening. And just in case that wasn't reassurance enough for you - when a network reaches its maximum allowed number of members and / or sites, it simply "disappears" from the dashboard, making it virtually impossible for Google or anyone to find it. Many networks have already been formed and have already disappeared from the dashboard to be replaced with new ones which have taken their place and are filling quickly.
Results - The results speak for themselves - Just take a look at some of the images we have posted here on this site, or see for yourself by clicking here.

How Does It Work?
FBN is a peer-to-peer based link sharing platform that operates much like a co-op. As mentioned earlier, it consists of a network of networks, and is made up of various niche relevant networks, as well as the more traditional PR based networks. While each network has its own rules, a basic rule of thumb is that you will receive 1-2 posting points per day for every site you enter into a network, depending on that particular network's rules.
So let's say you have a spare PR 3 site that you would like to enter into into one of the PR 3 + networks, and that I am in the same network as you are in. The sole purpose of the site you have entered is to host my posts and also the posts of the other members in that network. We in turn use your site that you have entered to link back to our "money" sites in order to boost their search engine rankings. Meanwhile, the sole purpose of the "dummy" or "feeder" sites that we have entered in order to gain access to the network, is to host your niche relevant posts, which you then use to link back to your "money" site in order to boost its search engine rankings. To put it simply, it's a win / win / win for everybody involved, as their money site's rankings are boosted from a collection of backlinks coming from high quality blogs and massive ip diversity.
If you purchase the pro membership level you can even create your own networks which you can set to display on the members dashboard, or you can even set them to be completely private if you wish.
But getting back to the point above - If you enter just one PR 3 blog to PR 3 + network and that network is set to allow 2 posting points per day per domain entered - Well then you have 30 x 2 = 60 x new PR 3 links pointing to your money site every month! And what;s more, with most of the sites in the networks having a blogroll set up, your links are constantly appearing on the actual high PR homepages of the blogs. giving your money site an enormous boost of well needed link juice to propel it up the SERPS.
You simply connect a wordpress blog to our system and choose which network you would like to join. You can then post articles to that network every day. You do not put your main money/business sites into the system, but you can build links to anywhere you want. Of course you don't have to just enter the high PR networks, buy we just used that as an example of how it works. And obviously if you want to join a PR 3 + network you will need to have a PR 3 + domain to enter, but having said that, a PR 3 domain can be purchased for a little over the price of a regular domain at auction - Read on below for more information.
See the infographic below for more information on how FBN wourks.
How The Plugin Works
The plugin is used for managing the posting process and is installed on all feeder sites entered into a network. Unlike many other wordpress plugins, the FBN plugin is 100% unpingable and untraceable, leaving absolutely no footprint whatsoever.
The latest feature to be incorporated into the plugin is the ability to block crawler bots such as those from ahrefs.com, majestic seo, and similar. This stops any nosey competitors from spying on where your backlinks are coming from, and is an excellent addition to the plugin.

Where To Find High PR Domains?
If you really want to get the most out of FBN then we highly recommend joining the high PR networks. Inside the FBN networks dashboard you can find PR 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and even PR 7 + networks to join. In order to join one of these networks you will need to have a feeder site of at least that PR to enter. If you don't have one to spare you will have to purchase one to enter.
These can be purchased from within FBN, but we find it cheaper to use this $27 program to find our high pr sites to enter.
Buying a PR 2 domain from within the FBN membership area will cost you $30. With Pr Powershot, you can find hundreds if not thousands of expiring high PR domains every day. Just enter any keyword of your choice and it will run a search on Godaddy auctions for expiring domains related to that keyword. Expiring PR 3 and PR 4 domains can be picked up everyday for as little as $12, while with a little more digging you can even find PR 5's and higher for next to nothing. Considering the money that this tool can save you with just one domain purchase, in our opinion this is a must for any serious SEO's arsenal! Posting And Post Moderation
One of the major features in FBN is the ability to create auto-content for your posts. This is done for you free of charge as a paid member of FBN, and basically uses a number of third party API's including Word AI and others to create a high quality mash of niche relevant content that you can use for your blog posts.
While the quality is very good, personally we are a bit paranoid when it comes to having good content for our tier one properties, so we choose to create our own super spun content - however the auto content is more that unique, readable, and suitable for any campaign you would like to run.
Posts can be either manually uploaded, or uploaded in bulk, while it is also possible to embed both niche relevant images and Youtube videos with your posts. This not only makes your posts and the feeder sites in general look more like a real site, but it has been proven that a post that contains niche relevant images and / or videos adds more SEO value to the outbound links on that page.
All posts are moderated by human moderators, adding an extra layer of security to the networks. This is a good thing, since who wants links to porn and gambling sites in their Tech or Medical only niche? If you're posts aren't up to scratch, then don't be surprised if they are sent back to you to fix up. The integrity of the networks is always the number one priority - and rightly so.
You can join as many networks as you like, and each feeder site you enter to a network will earn you between 1 - 3 posting points per day in that network, depending on that network's rules.
If you entered a PR 2 site into the PR 2 + network, a PR 3 site into the PR 3 + network, and a PR 4 site into the PR 4 + network, and each network was set to give you 2 posting points per day, then you would be allowed to post 6 posts per day.
By the end of the month, if each network was set to two posting points per day, you would have 60 x PR 2 links, 60 x PR 3 links, and 60 x PR 4 links pointing to your "money" site. The more sites you enter into FBN, the more posting points you receive.
Before you can begin to earn posting points you must first be accepted into the network by the network owner. Sites with no header image will not be accepted, while sites using the standard wordpress themes such as 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 will not be accepted either.
You should treat any site you enter into a network as though it were one of your "money" sites. It doesn't take more than a few minutes to add a decent looking header, an "about us" page, a "contact" page, and a couple of pages of content. When everybody is pulling in the one direction it makes for one hell of a network!

Can I Enter A Foreign Language Website?
Yes! Lately Spanish, French, Polish, and German language networks have been introduced, with the intention being to further expand on these very soon! However posting foreign language content on an English language network is not allowed.
Can I Buy Or Sell Posts In The Network?
No! It wouldn't be fair to the current members to sell posts in their networks, since this is an easy way for Google or anybody else to easily gain access to the list of sites in the networks. If you want to post to a network you must have a valid site entered.
For the same reasons, FBN does not allow any members to sell posts. Anybody found to be doing so will be immediately banned. However you can create posts for clients websites, etc if required.

Using A Blog Network - The Dangers
You should be under no illusion - Using a network such as FBN is against Google's terms of service. In the past Google have found and infiltrated huge less advanced and less secure networks such as those Build My Rank, High PR Society and others. However, some of these had more than 30,000 + sites, making them a prime target for Google. What's more, they had a huge vulnerability - Having a central point of access - something that FBN does not.
In order for Google to successfully take down FBN, they would firstly have to enter a site into every network. But every time a network reaches its maximum number of sites or members allowed it disappears from the "networks grid" dashboard. How are they going to enter a site into the network if they can't find it? Even if Google were stubborn enough to even attempt to enter a site into every network, there are countless checks in place to prevent this from happening including automated monitoring of accounts for suspicious activity.
FBN has been going strong for more than 2 years now, and is growing stronger every day. It certainly is not going away any time soon! However you should always keep in mind that this is considered blackhat activity by Google, and there is a small chance that there is a very slim chance that your feeder sites and / or your main "money" site could be penalized or deindexed for using FBN.
However, with the "purge links" option included in FBN, you can quickly and easily delete all links from any posts you have created, should it ever appear that a network has been compromised. And as if that wasn't enough - It only takes 2 minutes to clone your site and start over should your site ever be deindexed! Unless you have an actual business domain that you can't afford to lose, this should already and always be part of your last resort SEO strategy nowadays anyway. especially with Google penalizing and deindexing blackhat and whitehat sites for no reason at all.

The Future Of Fightback Networks
The future is bright - the future is Fightback Networks! FBN was launched in February 2012, when it was at least a year ahead of its time. In fact it was created during the whole crisis that came when every last major network was killed. Some people thought it was a bad idea, but 18 months later we knen they were wrong.
Currently on version 3.4, the next big update (Version 4) is going to be completely different, and again it will be leaps and bounds beyond anything else out there. To put this in perspective, FBN v3.4 probably has 20% of the features and functionality that Version 4 is going to have. The UI and database will be constructed completely differently. But more importantly, FBN will be supporting other types of link exchanges like swaps and link selling etc.
The swaps is exciting because it will work like an auction house and there will be no plugin needed. Instead a custom scraper will be used to check your links for you. This removes the wordpress footprint and Content Management System ( CMS ) barriers, while support will be added for for many more CMS's. There will be a team in place to help set up your blogs with these new CMS's such as Drupal, Moveable Type, Ghost, Blog Engine, plain HTML templates, and more platforms for $4ph. All these things mean our link profiles will be much more diverse, and once we have enough sites and members it will almost eliminate the need for any other link building tools (except for indexing).

How Long Until I See Results?
As with anything in SEO results can vary on a number of factors. Your site's content, authority, and previous backlink profile can have a big effect on how long it will take to rank your site using a PBN. And that's not even taking into account the competition of the keyword(s) you are targeting, and strength of your competitors. With that being said, it has been proven time and time again that private blog networks do work - and work well. It's no coincidence that Google are doing their utmost to take down as many high profile networks as they can - because they too know they work.
And as we all know, the only network that they'd like you to be in is their adsense network!
